Assembly machine for industrial components

Wadcon developed a metal forming and flanging machine for a customer specialised in heat ducting pipes. Three parts are shaped, brought together and then connected by rolling in flanged edges. With this method no soldering or glue is required making the end-product particularly resistant to high temperature gasses. By ensuring ergonomic operation the productivity has doubled with this machine. The process is controlled by 4 servo motors which report back production validation data. Operator safety is enhanced by a light screen protection around the main process line.
