Assembly of cooling units

For an automotive customer, Wadcon developed an automated workstation for securing connection pipes in a cooling system from the inside.The assembly process involves the assembly of the parts which is then followed by folding the parts together through a metal pressed seam. This last step requires high forces and thus requires safety measures. The removal and loading position is accessible while the fitting and assembly is done mechanically in a two-step process. Before releasing the product, an automated quality control step is performed. At this moment the loading is done manually but the system can easily be adapted for automated loading.
